Immerse yourself in the history of Saint-James rum at its museum in Sainte-Marie. A small train will take you through sugarcane plantations, the estate, and the rum workshop.

Visit the House of Sugar (Maison de la Canne) to learn about its history. It is located in a former distillery in the Vatable district in Trois-Ilets. Sugar cane has undergone many changes over the past three centuries.

During your stay in Martinique, also consider visiting Saint-Louis Cathedral. Destroyed multiple times (earthquake, fire, cyclone), the current Church was rebuilt in 1978. The building was designed by Pierre-Henri PICQ, who was also the architect of the Schœlcher library.
